Gtv2000 USA. This car came in as an orphan after sitting still in a barn for 9 years. A rare USA model that has never been in the United States.. One of a lot of cars that were never shipped to the USA, but instead sold to the German Alfa Romeo importer in 1975. They replaced the Spica injection with weber carburettors. The cars we registered in Germany as new cars and then sold to dealers all over Europe. This car was sold new in the Netherlands by dealer Sam van Lingen in 1977.
It has nearly all the factory options such as tinted glass, airco, the multi spoke Millerighi wheels . But, as a Dutch delivered car, it also had quite some rust. So, we took it apart, everything, and sympathetically totally restored the car. We brought it back to life after hundreds of hours of work . The doors shut with your pinky. The airco works. The suspension is upgraded and it handles like a dream on its Pirelli tires.
It’s totally as the German dealer sold it, except for the delete of the American side marker lights, which are still with the car, and the Euro meters fitted instead of the US miles/Fahrenheit examples. It’s an absolute dream being able to turn on the working AC unit. We built this car as completely stock, instead of modifying anything. Great color, great car.
